  Former chief justice of Karnataka High Court Y Bhaskar Rao will on Thursday take over as the state's Lokayukta (ombudsman), filling up the post lying vacant for over 17 months.

• New Lokayukta in next 15 days: Karnataka CM

  Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Sunday that the state would get a new Lokayukta in the next 15 days.
