Karti P Chidambaram Moves Delhi High Court

Denied relief by the trial court, Congress Member of Parliament (MP) Karti P Chidambaram on Saturday approached the Delhi High Court seeking anticipatory bail in a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate in the alleged Chinese visas scam.

The Enforcement Directorate approached the Delhi High Court Thursday seeking cancellation of anticipatory bail granted to former finance minister P Chidambaram and his son Karti in the Aircel-Maxis case, claiming that there is likelihood of tampering with the evidence.

Karti Chidambaram, the arrested son of former Union minister P Chidambaram, today moved the Delhi High Court seeking bail, hours after a court sent him to judicial custody till March 24.
