The Jharkhand Police on Sunday said it has detained three persons who were a part of a group that allegedly forced Kashmiri traders to chant ''Jai Shri Ram'' and ''Pakistan Murdabad'' in Ranchi.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is camping in Jammu and Kashmir amid a lockdown over centre's decision to scrap special status to the state, was on Saturday seen enquiring about sheep from a cattle trader in South Kashmir's Anantnag.

It has been four days since the government imposed restrictions on public gatherings in Jammu and Kashmir, curtailing vehicular movements and shutting off mobile Internet services to prevent a backlash against its move to revoke the state's special status and carve it into two union territories.
