Kerala By-poll Results

Left front won in 24 out of the 42 wards across 12 districts of Kerala where by-elections. The Congress-led UDF, on the other hand, lost in eight wards which were with it earlier. However, it won in 12 out of the 42 wards where by-polls were held.

The counting of votes for the by-polls to 4 Lok Sabha seats - one each in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu - and 13 assembly seats across 11 states is being held. The results will be out along with those of the state assembly polls.

The first three-cornered by-poll of Kerala in Arruvikkara saw the BJP become a crucial player in the state, with a five-fold increase in votes it garnered.
