Kerala Puts On Hold Controversial Law

A controversial move in Kerala to enable arrests for content or social media posts deemed "offensive" has been put on hold after a severe backlash. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said today that the amendment to the Kerala Police Act "will not be implemented".

Congress-ruled Rajasthan today passed a resolution against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA in the state assembly demanding repeal of the law amid countrywide protests. Rajasthan is the third state in the country to pass an anti-CAA resolution after Kerala and Punjab.
