KG Bopaiah To Stay Temporary Speaker, Floor Test To Be Broadcast Live

Rejecting the Congress' petition, the Supreme Court today said the BJP's KG Bopaiah would remain temporary speaker for the Karnataka trust vote. "Live broadcast of floor test would be the best way to ensure transparency of proceedings," the court said.

Another ruling BJP MLA resigned his assembly membership, further jolting the party in the poll-bound state. HS Shankarlinge Gowda, who represents Chamaraja Assembly constituency, waited for more than 90 minutes for Speaker K G Bopaiah and submitted his resignation letter, official sources said.
