A 50-year-old woman in Rajasthan was allegedly paraded naked on a donkey on the orders of a self-styled village court that decided that she was guilty of killing her husband's cousin. Villagers chopped off her hair, blackened her face and stripped her as she kept pleading that she was innocent.

Strongly defending Khap Panchayats (caste councils), Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said they don't order "dishonour killings" and most such cases involve relatives of boys or girls, whose relations are opposed by their families.
