Actor-turned-politician and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in Thousand Lights assembly constituency, Khushbu Sundar on Saturday cooked dosas as part of her election campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Khushbu Sundar has found a place in the BJP's first list of candidates for the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. The actor-politician, who had quit the Congress last year after writing a strongly worded letter to party chief Sonia Gandhi, will contest from Chennai's Thousand Lights constituency against DMK's Dr Ezhilan.

The Congress today said actor Khushboo Sundar, who quit from the party today, lacked "ideological commitment" and her exit would not impact Tamil Nadu politics.

With the Congress decimated in Delhi for the second consecutive term as votes were counted for the assembly election, Congress leader Sharmistha Mukherjee and Khushbu Sundar conceded the party's crushing defeat. Ms Mukherjee blamed it on her party's "inordinate delay in decision-making at the top" and several other factors.
