Lawyers in northwestern Pakistan today boycotted courts demanding more security, a day after a group of Taliban suicide bombers stormed a court in the volatile Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and killed seven people.

Teachers in northwest Pakistan are being given firearms training and will be allowed to take guns into the classroom in a bid to strengthen security following a Taliban massacre at a school last month.
