Indian Coast Guard Gets 15th Fast Patrol Vessel from Cochin Shipyard

475 Evacuees From Yemen Arrive in Kochi Onboard 2 Ships

Two Navy-escorted passenger ships with 475 people, including Bangladesh nationals and Yemenese of Indian origin, evacuated from the conflict-hit Yemen arrived in Kochi today, bringing down the curtains on the massive rescue operation undertaken by the government.

Maldivian vessel sinks off Kochi coast

A Maldivian vessel, being towed to a breaking yard at Azhikkal port in Kannur, sank off Kochi and efforts are on to clear the wreckage from near the coast. The 70-metre-long vessel, M V Sea Angel, was being taken to Kannur for being dismantled as scrap, when she sank off Kochi waters on July one, a Naval press release said today.
