Three labourers were killed and one seriously injured when a truck ploughed through them in Kerala's Kochi last night. The victims were contractual workers with the Kochi metro and were near the Muttam Yard where they were working the night shift when a speeding vehicle hit them. All four were rushed to the hospital.

It could have been just another construction job, but the Kochi Metro in Kerala made sure it gave thousands of workers a parting gift to remember. On Monday, migrant workers were treated by the Kochi Metro Rail Corporation to lunch and a dance party. They were also urged to write on a message board.
