Kulbhushan Jadhav Verdict

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday asked India to hire a legal representative for Kulbhushan Jadhav, to implement the verdict of the International Court of Justice, according to a local media report.

Hours after Pakistan said that second consular access to death-row convict Kulbhushan Jadhav would not be granted, India on Thursday said it will keep trying for full implementation of the verdict by the International Court of Justice in his case.

India on Thursday asked Pakistan to grant full consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav at the earliest in "full compliance and conformity" with last week''s verdict in his case by the International Court of Justice.

Pakistan will grant consular access to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav according to the Pakistani laws, for which modalities are being worked out, the Foreign Ministry said in a late night statement.

A day after the International Court of Justice ordered Pakistan to review the death penalty to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, New Delhi on Thursday said the verdict is binding upon Islamabad and now it is time for them to act and provide consular access to the retired navy officer.
