Soaring rhetoric from US President Barack Obama and other leaders about their deep commitment to fighting climate change should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt, Greenpeace chief Kumi Naidoo said Tuesday.

Greenpeace global chief Kumi Naidoo said Sunday increasingly violent storms hitting the Philippines showed the world had to act on climate change, as Typhoon Hagupit barrelled across the country.
