Lalji Patel Arrested

A court in Mehsana today granted bail to Patel quota movement leader Lalji Patel who was arrested after an agitation organised by him on April 17 turned violent.

Sardar Patel Group (SPG) chief and quota agitation leader Lalji Patel has been arrested by Mehsana police in connection with the "jail bharo" agitation which had turned violent on April 17, police said today.
