A leopard attack in Pune has sparked concerns among villagers after a pet dog fell prey to the animal. The residents of Junnar tehsil are now living in fear due to repeated leopard sightings.

A 19-year-old woman died after a leopard attacked her and dragged her into sugarcane fields at a village in Shirur tehsil of Maharashtra's Pune district on Wednesday, police said.

Two people were injured in an attack by a leopard and another person got hurt after falling while trying to run away from the animal which a residential area in Pune on Monday, police said.

A four-month-old baby girl was killed by a leopard near Pune in Maharashtra on Wednesday morning, said forest officials.

Chaos and panic ensued at the National Institute of Banking Management (NIBM), Kondhwa, after a male leopard was found trapped in the campus kitchen. A team of seven forest officials rescued the wild animal after four hours.
