Thirty-five-year-old Sonu Jaiswal, a liquor store owner who was among the five Indians killed in a plane crash in Nepal on Sunday, had gone to pay obeisance at the famed Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.

Drone cameras will be used to find illicit liquor dens in forest areas near the Indo-Nepal border, an official said on Wednesday.

Around 70 Indian nationals, all hailing from Bihar, have been detained in Nepal over crossing the border to enjoy liquor in local pubs in Kathmandu since last month when their state banned sale and consumption of alcohol, according to police.

The complete ban on alcohol in Bihar seems to have come as a boon for small traders in Nepal who sell low-quality alcohol.
