The Delhi government has begun a fresh fire safety audit of city hospitals starting with the inspection of two major hospitals, in the wake of the fire incident at a private medical facility in Bhubaneswar which left at least 23 people dead.

Forty-five cases of breeding of dengue mosquitoes were found at various institutions so far this year, including six at Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital (LNJP) and three at the the headquarters of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation itself, the civic body said in a report yesterday.

Two women were arrested on Thursday for kidnapping and selling a new-born baby here, police said. A woman who paid Rs 50,000 for the infant too has been held, and the baby recovered.
