Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme Saves Rs 21,000 Crore In LPG Subsidy: Government

In face of a report by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) drilling holes into subsidy savings made on LPG, the government on Wednesday asserted that over Rs 21,000 crore was indeed saved in two years by directly transferring subsidy to user bank accounts.
