The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday transferred Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam and posted him to the Director-General of he state Human Resources Development Institute in Bapatla, creating ripples among ppposition parties which have slammed the "dictatorial" move by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are likely to meet in Amaravati mid July to sort out the bifurcation and river water sharing issues, AP Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam said Sunday.

The Election Commission on Friday removed Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha from the post and appointed senior-most IAS officer LV Subrahmanyam of the 1983 batch in his place.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has named two senior IAS officers in its chargesheet in the Emaar case. The two bureaucrats named in the chargesheet are LV Subrahmanyam and Vishweswar Rao among 12 people.
