The ruling DMK in Tamil Nadu has planned to celebrate the 98th birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and Dravidian stalwart M Karunanidhi in a grand manner in the state on Friday.

Taking a swipe at arch rival DMK's recent advisory to party workers to cut down on banners, ruling AIADMK today said that such a directive was given since its President M Karunanidhi was feeling irritated for not being given "due importance".
