Madras High Court has directed police to act on a complaint by a city lawyer against advocates of Thiruvannamalai Bar Association that they had assaulted him after questioning his presence there when he had gone to attend a case.

Madras High Court Lawyers To Abstain From Courts From Tomorrow

Madras High Court Advocates Association today decided to abstain indefinitely from all courts and tribunals from tomorrow demanding unconditional withdrawal of recently amended rules to the Advocates Act, which among others provided for disciplinary action against erring lawyers.
