A Madrasa teacher in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old student following a complaint by the boy's father, police said.

The decision comes as several madrasas in the state came under the scanner after teachers employed in these institutions were arrested earlier this year for their alleged links with extremist groups.
