A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly posting defamatory comments on social media linking a few state ministers with a professor held in connection with a sex scandal, police said on Saturday.

A senior faculty member of the Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU) has been arrested, while a research scholar surrendered before a court today in connection with the sexual favours scandal involving a woman college teacher, police said.
