As parts of Maharashtra grapple with the consequences of five back-to-back years of drought, the state's Agriculture Minister, accompanied by 15 lawmakers, has flown to Australia and New Zealand for two weeks to review how those countries handle loans to farmers. A one-day stop in Singapore has also been worked into the itinerary.
