A man and his elder brother allegedly kidnapped a three-year-old girl when she was playing outside her home in outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar to pay their debt but their attempt for ransom money was foiled and they were arrested, tthe police said on Monday.

A 35-year-old man in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district was kept in chains for 35 days because he was planning to elope with a girl. Arun Sartabe was rescued by the police on Wednesday, after people in the village heard Arun's cries for help and informed the police. The girl's step brothers had kidnapped him and kept him in chains, the police say.
