A French court on Wednesday convicted an elderly man for killing his wife of nearly 50 years after her condition worsened from Alzheimer's but ordered no jail time. Gabriel Armandou, 79, was given a five-year suspended sentence for the attack on his wife Paulette in September 2008 at their home in Fresnes, south of Paris.
