Bihar YouTuber Manish Kashyap, arrested last year for allegedly circulating fake videos of migrants from Bihar being harassed in Tamil Nadu, joined the BJP on Thursday.

Four Bihar Police officials, including an Assistant Sub-Inspector, have been suspended after the erring cops allowed YouTuber Manish Kashyap, who is in judicial custody, to interact with the media during an appearance at a local court.

The Supreme Court today directed the Tamil Nadu government not to shift YouTuber Manish Kashyap, arrested for allegedly circulating fake videos of migrant labourers being attacked in the southern state, from the Madurai Central Prison.

A 34-year-old man has been booked for mischief after he climbed up an electricity tower here with overhead transmission lines, to demand the release of a controversial YouTuber arrested by the Bihar police, officials said on Friday.
