Uncertainty Over Jitan Ram Manjhi's Fate as Nitish Kumar Heads For Delhi

Uncertainty is growing over Jitan Ram Manjhi's continuation as the Chief Minister of Bihar, as the leaders of Bihar's ruling Janta Dal (United) and RJD chief Lalu Prasad meet in Delhi today. Even JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, who had backed Mr Manjhi for the top job, refused to give any assurance on the matter.

In the most creative defence of his controversial statements over the last few months, Bihar Chief Minister JItan Ram Manjhi sang a few lines from the film "Awara" at a function today: "Sab kucha sikha maine na sikhi hosiyari , sach hain duniya walon hum hain anari ( I have learnt everything except being clever , it is true I am a novice)".
