Two more people died of their burn injuries at a hospital in Kannur on Thursday, taking the toll in the LPG tanker lorry explosion at nearby Chala to six. Geetha and Remla, in their forties, with over 50 per cent burns died at Pariyaram Medical college hospital.

A woman succumbed to her burns at a Kozhikode hospital on Wednesday. This takes the toll in the Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) tanker mishap near Kannur to three, police said. Fifty-year-old Nirmala, who was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital, died on Wednesday morning, sources said. Two people have died of burns on Tuesday.
