Actor-singer Ali Zafar has filed a defamation suit in a district court in Lahore against singer Meesha Shafi, who accused him of sexual harassment two months ago on social media. The suit claims damages of Rs 1 billion.

"I don't think there's any basis to Meesha Shafi's allegations, they are pretty empty and meaningless for me," said Aqsa Ali

Meesha Shafi alleged Ali Zafar misbehaved with her during a jamming session last year among manty other incidents

"In the years I have known Ali Zafar, he has on several occasions crossed boundaries of what is appropriate behaviour between friends," read a tweet

"I feel betrayed by his behaviour and his attitude," wrote Meesha Shafi
