The United States and South Korea have agreed to indefinitely suspend two exchange program training exercises, the Pentagon said on Friday, in the aftermath of the summit earlier this month between U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Singapore has offered a military transport airplane, drone surveillance aircraft and use of combat training facilities to support the Philippines' fight against the rising threat of ISIS terrorism, the defence ministry said on Wednesday.

A Chinese state newspaper on Tuesday criticized Singapore over the Southeast Asian city-state's military training with self-governing Taiwan, following the impounding of nine Singaporean infantry fighting vehicles transiting through Hong Kong.

Singaporeans are rolling back military training, keeping cough-stricken children indoors and considering wearing protective masks to work after a smoky haze triggered by forest fires in neighboring Indonesia caused air pollution to briefly hit its worst level in nearly 16 years.
