In Andhra Pradesh, Mob Attacks Police Station After 10-Year-Old Was Allegedly Molested

A mob attacked a police station at Old Guntur in Andhra Pradesh after a 10-year-old girl was allegedly molested, on Tuesday evening. The man identified as Raghu, in his twenties, working at a bakery allegedly took the girl from her home on his way back, say local media reports.

Gaurav Jyoti Neog, the former Newslive reporter who is accused of "planning and directing" the ghastly mob attack on a teenage girl in Guwahati, has been sent to police custody for three days. He was arrested yesterday.

Gaurav Jyoti Neog, the Newslive channel reporter who is accused of "planning and directing" the ghastly mob attack on a 20-year-old girl in Guwahati, has been arrested. He resigned on July 15. Police claim it has enough evidence to nail him for instigating the mob on the night of July 9 when the incident took place.

The editor of a local daily, who witnessed the incident on Monday night, has told NDTV that he did try to rescue the girl but stood no chance in front of the men who heckled and threatened him. More shockingly, he says that the men attacked and manhandled the girl even when she was inside the police jeep in the midst of armed cops.
