Mock Bomb Drill

The Delhi Police along with the National Security Guard (NSG) conducted security mock drills at the IGI airport, Rajiv Chowk Metro Station and DPS RK Puram here late Friday and early Saturday.

The city is a sitting duck for another terror attack going by the results of a mock drill that was carried out from Monday morning, which concluded last evening.

In spite of being the unwitting targets in a slew of terror assaults in recent memory, Mumbaikars are still deplorably naive when it comes to keeping their city safe. And going by the experiences of city cops who recently staged mock drills to gauge the city's alertness, its complacent citizens may have to learn their lessons the hard way.

Delhi on Tuesday witnessed a major coordinated mockdrill under which simulated incidents of fire, earthquake and bomb blasts were enacted in 33 locations to check medical response system of prominent city hospitals.

All Metro trains came to a grinding halt at 11 am today and commuters were given different reasons for it - bomb blast, earthquake and terrorist strike, but everything was normal in less than an hour.
