Two men on duty at a toll plaza on the Guna-Shivpuri road in Madhya Pradesh were allegedly beaten by the former state BJP president and lawmaker of Khandwa, Nandkumar Singh Chauhan on Friday. The incident captured on CCTV went viral on social media. Mr Chauhan has denied the allegations.

A Gujarat MP had earned notoriety some time ago when he was caught on camera brandishing a gun at a toll booth attendant angry, that he was asked to pay. Clearly, he was not an exception. In neighbouring Maharashtra, the supporters of two MLAs have allegedly vandalised toll booths and abused attendants because the politicians were asked to pay.
