    The grounded ship Pratibha Cauvery has been successfully salvaged by the tow vessel Malavya this evening (Sunday). However she cannot continue her voyage and will remain berthed on the outer anchorage of the Chennai port following a direction by the Madras High Court.

    The grounded ship MT Pratibha Cauvery has been salvaged by a towing vessel Malavya. The ship, which had run aground on October 31 under the impact of strong winds when cyclone Nilam struck, has been pulled into the sea by the towing vessel. It is now headed towards Chennai port's outer anchorage.

The two were part of the five crew members who went missing on Wednesday after a lifeboat they were using to leave the ship capsized. The bodies of three of their colleagues were found yesterday.
