Mumbai Airport Terror Threat

Amid terror alerts that militants would strike at many places across the country before the Republic Day, the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Saturday received an anonymous call threatening to blow up the airport.

Mumbai's domestic and international airports are on high alert after receiving a terror threat last night. Security has also been strengthened at the city's famous Taj Hotel, which was one of the locations attacked by Pakistani terrorists in November 2008.

Just days after the first such threat did not translate into an attack, ground handling staff found two more messages warning of an ISIS attack scribbled in the men's washrooms of the airport yesterday.

Security has been tightened at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International airport, railway stations and other vital installations following an alert issued by Central security agencies.
