Mumbai Collapse Casualties

Fourteen people were rescued from under the debris of a house that collapsed in Mumbai's Kandivali this morning.

At least five people were killed and three others injured, one of them critically, when a partially-occupied building undergoing repairs came crashing down in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Part of Lalbaug flyover opposite Bharat Mata cinema in Parel has collapsed in Central Mumbai. Four cars have been damaged. One person with minor injuries has been rushed to hospital.Babasaheb Amebedkar Road has been cordoned off.   An old flyover was being demolished to allow the construction of a new one.More details are awaited.

Two buildings collapsed in Mumbai's Bhendi Bazaar area on Sunday. No casualties were, however, reported.
