41-year-old man was arrested today from Ghansoli in Navi Mumbai for his alleged involvement in a string of theft cases, police said. 3 jewelers have also been arrested for buying stolen jewellery from the accused, they said.

Sravankumar Nadar (45), a known jeweller in the city, who hails from Tamil Nadu, is currently behind bars at the Arthur Road jail in connection with the 45 cases lodged against him.

After over three decades of being on the run, Dharavi police have finally arrested a man wanted in a 1979 robbery case. The accused, Krishna Raghunath Vaidi, now 59 years old, had fled the city in 1980. He had been living in Gujarat since the court had declared him wanted in the case.
