The body of a 40-year-old model was found hanging from a fan in a hotel room in Mumbai's Andheri area on Thursday.

TV actor and model Sameer Sharma was found dead last night at his Mumbai home, police said.

A 27-year-old model allegedly committed suicide on Thursday by hanging herself from the ceiling of her residence in Andheri, where she was staying with her boyfriend, police said.

The Dindoshi Sessions court on Friday discharged Maharashtra DIG Sunil Paraskar in a rape case alleged by a 27-year-old model. The model had alleged that Paraskar, (57), had sexually assaulted her on two occasions in December 2013 and he had been suspended following the allegations.

Just before she died in her apartment in Mumbai, a 40-year-old model's last words were recorded by her room-mate, say the police, who are now examining the video recording.
