An Indian lawyer was today fielded by Singapore's ruling People's Action Party to take on one of the most outspoken opposition politician in a crucial bypoll. K Muralidharan Pillai, 48, was introduced by Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam as the PAP's candidate for Bukit Batok constituency at a press conference.
