Myanmar will not allow its territory to be used for any anti-India activities, this was conveyed by Myanmarese leaders to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who assured "all help" to the new government that came to power in March after decades of military rule.

Underlining Myanmar's importance for peace and stability in the region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today conveyed to it India's commitment to deepen ties in all key areas including security, a month after Indian Army carried out a counter-insurgency strike along the Indo-Myanmar border.
