The Madras High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition by the Associate Editor of Tamil bi-weekly 'Nakheeran', A Kamaraj, seeking to quash proceedings against him initiated by the Privileges Committee (PC) of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly relating two articles in the magazine's January 7 issue about Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.

High Court asks police not to arrest "Nakheeran" Gopal in other cases

The Madras High Court today said Editor of Tamil bi-weekly 'Nakkheran' Gopal, who had already been granted anticipatory bail in connection with a recent publication of an allegedly defamatory article relating to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, should not be arrested in other cases, arising out of the same alleged offence.
