The Narendra Modi government has made key changes to National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) with promotion of deputy NSA Rajinder Khanna to Additional NSA and appointing Special Director of Intelligence Bureau TV Ravichandran as Deputy NSA.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told all ministers and secretaries not to ignore background notes or other communication shared by National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) and National Security Advisor (NSA), and to take them seriously.

India and Japan participated in the fourth India-Japan cyber dialogue held virtually on Thursday. The two countries discussed cooperation in 5G telecom technology. Both sides also reviewed the progress in the areas of cybersecurity and information and communication technology, discussing important areas of bilateral cyber cooperation.

The Central Information Commission has directed the Cabinet Secretariat and National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS) to furnish reply to an RTI applicant seeking to know qualifications of National Security Advisors appointed since 1998.
