2 Indians In UAE Develop App To Help Visually Impaired

Two UAE-based Indian nationals developed a smartphone app that can help visually impaired people.The app developed by Nandujit Prathap and Visakh G.S is called Ioptyc. It uses distance sensors and visual recognition technology to assist people with visual impairments, the Khaleej Times reported on Wednesday.

Huge Gaps In Implementation Of Old Age Pension Schemes: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court yesterday said that the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), which deals with pensions for elderly and other issues, was "prima facie" a good scheme but there were "huge gaps" in its implementation which needed to be filled.
