Naval Gallantry Awards

President Ram Nath Kovind approved Nao Sena (Gallantary) medal for the six women crew members of Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Tarini, who circumnavigated the globe, braving treacherous seas and displaying "raw courage".

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral RK Dhowan today conferred gallantry and unit citations during the naval investiture ceremony held at the Naval Docks in Mumbai. 29 awards and six unit citations were conferred at the ceremony.
