The New Delhi Municipal Council has slapped several notices on the Rashtrapati Bhavan after mosquito-breeding was noticed in pools of stagnant water inside the sprawling complex. The NDMC has so far issued over 1,100 notices -- and 13 challans -- to various buildings in the VVIP Lutyens' zone, which were found to be "breeding spots" for mosquitoes ...

Much ahead of the dengue season, mosquitoes have been found breeding in over 200 prominent buildings in Delhi's VIP zone including those housing the offices of the Environment and Telecommunication ministries and AIIMS following which the civic body has served notices to them.
