In a tweet, filmmaker Ram Madhvani praised Sonam Kapoor for her performance in Neerja. He wrote: ""A director can push the actor but the director can't help the actor to land safely. This is all you @sonamakapoor. Well earned accolades"

At the glittering Filmfare awards last night, "Dangal" swept away three of four major awards -- Best Actor, Film and Director while Alia Bhatt won the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Female) for her performance in "Udta Punjab".

"I hope they reconsider our film. Anybody who has seen the film would know we have not shown anything against anyone. Any country would have gone through this problem. We are not showing any country in a bad light," director Ram Madhvani said

"It's very unfortunate. Because they haven't let the film reach the censor board for it to be approved or disapproved. They haven't even given us that leeway. I hope people around the world watch the film, and realize that we have treated everyone fairly. In fact, we have shown Pakistan in great light," said Sonam

"Atul Kasbekar (producer) initially spoke with the family. Before us, different people have asked them for the rights to make a film on Neerja. For some strange reason, they have said no to them, but they said yes to us. I think you should ask the family, as to why they trusted us," said Ram Madhvani
