A touching letter penned by daughter of one of the pilots, reads: "The film's trailer brings out the intense emotions that were going on at that time. I remember everything that happened in those 48 hours. My father would only grant interviews as long as it was about the heroism of Neerja"

Directed by Ram Madhvani, the biopic is based on Pan America flight attendant Neerja Bhanot. In 1986, Neerja was shot down as she saved the passengers of the Pan Am Flight 73, which was hijacked by terrorists in Karachi. Neerja also stars Shekhar Ravijiani and is scheduled to release on February 19, 2016

The trailer of Neerja, starring Sonam Kapoor in the titular role, will be attached to Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale. The actress posted on microblogging site Twitter: "Thank you @iamsrk & @RedChilliesEnt for giving the film #Neerja this platform! Catch the trailer of #Neerja with #Dilwale on 18th December!"
