After the death of eight people in a stampede during Chandrababu Naidu's roadshow in Andhra Pradesh yesterday, the ruling YSRCP says the former Chief Minister is only interested in showcasing his popularity.

One more person who was injured in a stampede during a programme organised by the Telugu Desam Party in Kandukur town in Nellore district succumbed while undergoing treatment last night, taking the toll to eight, police said today.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader N Chandrababu Naidu today said that he is very sorry about the incident in which seven of his party workers lost their lives after a scuffle broke in Nellore district.
