Nia Team Visit Pakistan

India today said Pakistan has not refused to allow an NIA team to visit that country to probe the Pathankot airbase attack case and just sought "more time" even as it made it clear that talks and terror cannot go hand-in-hand.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today came down heavily on Pakistan saying if the neighbouring country does not allow an NIA team to visit there for probe into the attack on the Pathankot airbase, it would be a "betrayal" to India.

India is awaiting a response from Pakistan on a visit by an NIA team there to review progress in Pathankot investigation, nearly three weeks after Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar had raised the issue with his Pakistani counterpart in Delhi.

In a sudden move, the foreign secretaries of India and Pakistan will meet today during which the issues dogging the bilateral ties including the Pathankot terror strike will be discussed.
